METAL INJECTION MOULDING

Metal injection moulding (MIM) is a metalworking process in which finely-powdered metal is mixed with binder material to create a “feedstock” that is then shaped and solidified using injection moulding. The moulding process allows high volume, complex parts to be shaped in a single step. After moulding, the part undergoes conditioning operations to remove the binder (debinding) and densify the powders. Finished products are small components used in many industries and applications.

Fu Yu’s metal injection moulding capability is unrivalled in this region, with applications in the areas of ultra high reliability systems and products such as the automotive segment. This differentiated value proposition is backed by strong foundation in mould design and fabrication. The optimisation of materials, processing parameters, mould making and blending all of them to meet the customers’ requirements has resulted in continuous good quality in Fu Yu’s MIM capabilities.
